Visited regularly for several decades by lovers of maple products, l'Érablière Le Sucre d'Or de Laterrière, changed ownership in spring 2008.
It was acquired by a group of five Saguenay investors and bought in 2010 by two brothers in this group: André and Sylvain Néron. The property once belonged to Marie-Joseph and late Vincent Lapointe. Today, the Neron brothers manage this establishment into a relay of snowmobiles, a sugar shack hut as well as a room for events of all kinds.
The two brothers Neron's vision is to continue to operate l'Érablière au Sucre d'Or in the same way as before, while adding other types of activities in order to open 12 months a year.
The Neron brothers want l'Érablière to be opened in addition to sugarshack hut and the relay of snomwmobiles, as relay for ATVS, for organizing barbecues and many other activities.
Owners think that people from outside of the region consider that we have very beautiful tourist attractions and are ready to attend them. By buying l'Érablière, the two brothers wanted to also protect the assets of the people of the region that too often, are sold to everyone outside of the region.
